Dawn DiCicco

Ms. DiCicco studied fine arts and graphic design at the University of Arizona. In 2011, she switched from graphic design to painting. Later, she studied with James Kent at the Guild of Creative Art and, more recently, with Grace Graupe Pillard at the Middletown Arts Center in New Jersey. She works with acrylic and collage elements and is inspired by nature’s color, shape, and light.

Ms. DiCicco won the Best Abstract prize at the Guild of Creative Art Annual Juried Show 2018. She was also selected for the NJ Emerging Artist Series at the Monmouth Museum for the 2013 – 2014 season. Her paintings were accepted into the museum’s annual exhibits in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

Ms. DiCicco’s work has been shown extensively throughout central New Jersey. She had a solo exhibition at the Hotel Tides in Asbury Park, showed at Gallery U in Westfield, and at the George Segal Gallery in Montclair in 2017. She was part of “Something Wild” at the Gallery at Thompson Park, NJ, along with three other artists. Her work was recently accepted into the “Journey” exhibition at the Pollak Gallery, Monmouth University, in Long Branch, NJ. Several of her paintings are in The Oyster Point Hotel’s permanent art collection.
