Ericka Bruno lives and works in New Jersey. She was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She received her BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in Graphic Design from the University of Texas, Austin. While pursuing a career in graphic design, Ms. Bruno worked in San Antonio and Dallas before moving to San Francisco in the late 1990s to work in Silicon Valley during the “dot.com” boom. She moved to New Jersey in 2007.
After taking time to focus on her family, Ms. Bruno segued her creativity into painting. She started painting consistently in her current style with the intent to make it a career in 2017. She is a contemporary artist whose abstract work is based on intricate intersections of lines.
Ms. Bruno’s work has been selected to participate in The Other Art Fair, both in Brooklyn and Dallas. She has also been awarded three residencies, one at the MudHouse Residency in Crete, and two at the Chateau Orquevaux, France. Her primary materials are acrylics on canvas, wood, or paper.
